Alistaire and Susan met at the annual policeman's ball, when Alistaire was there to do some palm-greasing. He dismissed his hired company for the evening to say all the right things to Susan, with varying levels of sincerity. His words worked well enough, even if Susan knew she was being played at least a little. Their protection, however, was not as effective.

After finding out a bit more about him, Susan told Alistaire in no uncertain terms that she was going to keep and raise the child, practically daring him to make anything of it. She made it clear several times over that she didn't need his support or money.

He sent the latter anyway, along with making sure she had the best doctors for all her pre and postnatal care.

1 - Henry has no metahuman physical attributes, but has a mutant ability to increase the odds of something breaking apart or malfunctioning. Fair fights, even if he's not afraid of them, just never seemed like the smart thing to do to him.

2 - He inherited his father's attention span, but his mother's sense of responsibility.

3 - Is curious about what he could do with Hellfire Club resources, but isn't sure how to broach the subject with his mom.

4 - Would like to be able to do the whole father-son bonding thing with Alistaire, who he is on a first-name basis with, but doesn't have his hopes up.

5 - Is known to try to intimidate his mother's dates.

Vincent and Sarah met when he had just about hit rock bottom. He was pretty much stunned by how much his opposite she was, in spite of paying attention to what the world was like. She was a very positive influence on him as he got himself back together, and after much consideration, he asked her out.

Considering Vincent, it was almost a shock to the other Avengers a few years later when they were actually already married before having their first child.

1 - Skuld's naming is the result of Sarah losing the coin toss for who got to pick her first name, but winning the choice of family name. Vincent named her for the Fate that governs the future because he believed that his and Sarah's children would be the future.

2 - She's a manic little A-type, conquering playground after playground in her youngest years, rallying the other children together with a commanding voice.

3 - She was about as interested in magical theory as she was in physical combat, so she ended up making herself quite the little front-line bard.

4 - She still goes pink and has trouble talking to boys one on one, but can deal with addressing crowds as well as Grandpa Steve can.

5 - She loves Jim Butcher novels, even if she constantly points out how the magic is /wrong/.

C. Chris had joined the Avengers, wanting to spend some time in her 'parents' house', so to speak, and Bruce was pretty much her tour guide for her arrival and first couple weeks.

"...so when exactly were you planning on showing me your room?"

Chris wasn't really one to beat around the bush when she decided she wanted something. The two of them ended up hitting it off like a house on fire and were engaged by the time they were both 21. Leo came along about a year later.

D. In contrast to most of his family, Leo is actually rather bookish. Not gangly, but slender and with angular features. He does however change his hair color about once a month. He has yellow eyes however, which are generally chalked up to Chris' condition.

E 1 - Loves climbing, and has been good at it since he could crawl. The default response to not being able to find him around the Mansion is to check the top of any shelves or the roof.

2 - Is an ursakinetic, as revealed by the Most Eventful Trip To The Zoo Ever.

3 - Is smart, but more along the lines of 'Hey, I got a perfect score on my SAT's!' smart than like Grandpa Pym. Leo has no problem with this.

4 - Has a good knack for using Pym Particles to grow or shrink, but is honestly more interested in being a personal assistant or the Avengers' financial manager than a superhero.

5 - From the age of fourteen onwards, always called his parents' phone numbers before entering the house, following a very awkward incident on Bruce's birthday.
